After speaking to administration. This school year they have decided to let high school have lockers, but not junior high. Reasoning I was told was because the teachers liked how last year went. 
If you are unfamiliar each kid has a home room and they have milk crates stacked on top of each other. Your child has to take all books/supplies for morning classes all at once, you come back to home room at lunch time, switch over books for afternoon classes. Then at end of day go back to homeroom to get what you need for homework to take home. 
Biggest take away is how much time in everyday this takes away from learning. The disruption of a student forgetting things and has to go back into the homeroom class. Also let’s be honest, how exciting it is to be able to have a locker. Why are we taking this excitement away?! They had enough of that last year. Please stand up for your child so they can come back to school 100% normal and use lockers this school year!
