USA Statutory Minimum Paid Employee Leave From Work

USA Statutory Minimum Paid Employee Leave From Work
The United States of America is the only industrialized nation without a mandated minimum amount of paid annual leave that workers are entitled to. The country I was born in, Croatia, for example, has 13 federal holidays and 20 minimum working days of paid leave that workers are entitled to. This is because the European Union mandates that every worker receive 20 working days of paid leave every year, not including holidays. Meanwhile, on average in the United States, workers have 8 holidays and 10 days of paid leave. That is a difference of 15 working days per year that Americans are working on average more than Croatians. This must change for a healthier country. Work to live not live to work. Our national anthem states that we are the land of the free, but it seems to me that it is the opposite. More like the land of the enslaved to corporations. We must have more mandated time off for our citizens to finally become a place where people want to work and live. This will help the United States become a healthier and happier country and foster future success. This is problem that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, has the power to change. This is a petition to him to make a decent minimum paid annual leave law for every working man and woman of the United States.
