Joe Murphy started this petition to USA citizens

On December 15, 2019 the 75th anniversary of the loss of Major Glenn Miller, famous jazz orchestra leader of the 1930's and 1940's whose plane went down in the English Channel.  He is officially listed as missing in action.  Glenn Moller payed a major role in boosting allied morale in England during World War II, in addition to his other significant contributions to U.S. Society.

We are petitioning to gain attention to the mysterious disappearance during WWII and have him honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  Mr. Miller was a true patriot.  Breaking up his band and creating the Glenn Miller Army band to help with the war efforts.  This would be equivalent to the top male performing artist giving up a million dollar plus income to do his part to help fight the great war the world has seen.

Our goal is to give this American patriot the remembrance he deserves.  Further, the friends of Glenn Miller are involved with fundraising to help solve the mystery of his disappearance with a search for the plane wreckage in the English Channel.

It would be a great help to have your support to show our President that Glenn Miller is deserving recipient of this highest civilian medal.

Thank you for your support!
