"I'll disrespect you and your Marine Corps anytime." -Jeannie Joiner. This is the Iowa Amateur Boxing Chief of Officials and current Iowa Golden Gloves President. The Marine is Clif Johnson, who is the Vice President of the Iowa Golden Gloves and owner of ICOR Boxing Club, a father (our sons are in these videos), US Marine Corps Veteran, and Iowa City Truth and Reconciliation Commissioner. This is how he gets treated after volunteering countless hours to revive the Iowa Golden Gloves and put on the best state tournament we've had to date. 

The initial issue we had with Jeannie Joiner is that she did not do her job. The main duty of her Chief of Official position is to make sure USA Boxing's rules are enforced. She has a history of allowing illegal weigh-in practices and doesn't manage the officials assignments according to USA Boxing guidelines, which both create serious safety concerns. She also is the most unprofessional and disrespectful person we've ever dealt with in any organization. If most of us were to talk like that to any employee or customer, we'd be fired. 

We filed grievances with USA Boxing and the national Golden Gloves but they failed to reprimand her or discipline her in any way. Please tell Iowa Amateur Boxing and USA Boxing that it's unacceptable for Jeannie Joiner to remain in her position. USA Boxing and Iowa Amateur Boxing are currently allowing her to retaliate against us by not allowing us to participate at boxing shows. She needs to be permanently removed from USA Boxing, or at the very least suspended for a long time. You can read the full case against her here:
