US Government: Stop blocking the 2 state settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict

The Israel-Palestine conflict could easily be resolved if the United States simply complied with international law, which is the goal of this petition.
The United States must stop blocking the 2 state settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict and abide by international law calling for Israel to withdraw from all of the West Bank (except for minor and mutual land swaps), East Jerusalem, and Gaza, and creating a Palestinian state in those territories. Former American judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Judge Buergenthal, made it clear in his formal Declaration attached to the ICJ Advisory Opinion in 2004 that the wall being built by Israel in the West Bank and the Israeli settlements "are ipso facto in violation of international humanitarian law." The 2004 advisory opinion of the ICJ unanimously affirmed this judgment. The United States must comply with this adjudication, decreed by the highest judicial body in the world, and by not doing so is grossly violating international law.
The United States should not dismiss the Arab Peace Initiative proposed by the Arab League (an initiative that adheres to international law and even goes further to call for normalization of relations with Israel after its full withdrawal from occupied territories). This proposal was endorsed by all member states of both the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which includes Iran. The Palestinian Authority has also endorsed this Initiative. Even more, Hamas has formally expressed the desire to settle the conflict on the pre-June 1967 borders (which is in accordance with international law).
Further, a United Nations resolution for settling the conflict of Israel-Palestine is put to a vote before the UN General Assembly every year, entitled "Peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine". The vote since its inception has been essentially the same: lopsided; the world on one side and the United States and Israel on the other. The 2011 vote was no different with a 167-7 vote (only Canada, Israel, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, and the United States voted against).
By vetoing UN resolutions that call for Israel to abide by international law, by supplying Israel with military aid that violates both domestic and international law (as pointed out by Amnesty International), and by ignoring calls for peace, the United States is perpetuating the conflict and therefore must terminate these policies immediately.
