Why this petition matters

Started by Zahra Qureshi

In wake of the recent George Floyd tragedy, the world has been shaken to its core. Humanity have been gathering in their millions to demand a change like we’ve never seen before, to hold those doing the damage accountable for their actions. But this isn’t enough.

As far as George Floyd, Philando Castile, Michael Brown and countless others racially targeted and murdered under police brutality, they have left behind families who not only grieve the loss of their beloved, but stricken with a financial crisis as many of them were dependent on their partners for their normal income. It is through the goodness of those who are compassionate about the Black Lives Matter cause to donate to these people but IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOVERNMENT TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM RACIALLY MOTIVATED EXECUTIONS OF THEIR LOVED ONES. Their wounds will never fully heal but they do not deserve the burden of struggling to put the food on their tables whilst the system which neglects them time after time gets away scot free.

Make the corrupt police officers accountable by demanding their long overdue punishment AND make the US Government pay for allowing these kinds of people “protect the people of the US”!

Together we stand for our black brothers and sisters. We hurt when they hurt, we cry with them and we will do everything and more to make what is wrong, right. Thank you.
