America’s Birthday Wreaks Havoc Every Year

Make July 4th a silent day of mourning of our ugly past and remembrance of all those who have been wronged and harmed. Ban the use and sale of fireworks on a federal level.

July 4th , 1776 - “All men are created equal” [Except enslaved Black people and “Savage Indians”]

Present Day - July 4th: We light fireworks (Expl*sives) and eat meat.

the message it sends and the affect it has:

-Momentary traumatizing entertainment over the peace and health of the environment, safety of Man’s Best Friend and those who have/do fight for our country.

The purpose of this goes much deeper than just freedom to choose to celebrate however each person wants to. On a global scale it can have a huge affect on the change we need to start seeing.

The impact fireworks have on the environment and how dangerous it is, even to children, is already obvious but of course it comes down to consumerism of a dangerous product.

Yeah, it’s sentimental to a lot of us… the fireworks, meat, “patriotic gear”, etc… But look at how much of it is being bought from other countries.

Think about the deeper meaning of “celebrating Independence Day” when the Declaration of Independence does not include enslaved black or indigenous people… people.

Why are we loudly, proudly, and harmfully celebrating that part?
