What? Seriously you can't keep Cobia? Wow, never even heard of that.

The fishery commission has taken their typical knee jerk reaction instead of managing the catch by reducing landings. One per person, 4 per boat would reduce the catch significantly.

I want to see the fishery managed correctly and turn into another red snapper mess. I am in the charter business and it is a huge financial speed bump as cobia are a popular catch for our repeat costomers.

I Have been fishing southern New Jersey inlets for 25 years (from boat) and have never sighted Cobia cruising the surface until august of 2017. Last summer I spotted multiple Cobia from 4 to 5 feet long.

Bait shops, marinas and other fishing related businesses are also dependent on these seasons and would appreciate ACTUAL data being produced/used rather than closing a season using fake numbers.
