- We the people think that things don't get done on our behalf because Congressional leaders in the Democratic and Republican parties don't have a term limit like a President does. They are to busy putting down roots to become wealthy. They are the ones that run this country. They have more power than a President does because they can stay as long as they want in congress. If we the people can put a stop to this then maybe they will put the people 1st an not theirselves. In this new law no person in Congress should ever be able to benefit financially from any US deals after serving and while serving in congress. If they do, they should be charged an lose all future pay and health care that is paid by the tax payers. In this law when congress can't do their jobs an come to a agreement....like the budget or something like we just had on the covid stimulus package,their pay should be stopped. If we don't do our jobs that we get paid for, we get fired or don't get paid. This should be the outcome for them too.
