I'm an Iraq War veteran that is 100% disabled. I am currently receiving $36,685.56 annually. The average individual income in 2017, according to the SSA, was $50,321.89.

I dont expect to be in the 1%. I dont want to be rich. I dont think I'm more deserving than anyone else.

What I do expect, since I am unable to work due to my service to this great country of ours, is to be afforded the ability to live as an average American.

To that end, I propose that the compensation for the 100% VA disability rating be raised to the average individual annual income.

Further, I think it would be great if, instead of requiring treatment at a VA facility, disabled veterans get an insurance program with zero cost, so we can decide who provides our treatment, whether that be at a VA hospital or a private practice.
