End Veteran Homelessness

Let's end veteran homelessness. As of Jan 2017, on any given night in the US, there were about 40,000 homeless vets looking for shelter. This is actually a 45% drop from 2009. 35 communities have effectively ended homelessness among vets, as well as have the states of Virginia, Delaware and Connecticut.* Unfortunately, the homelessness numbers are now rising for the first time in seven years so a great way for Americans to show their appreciation to veterans would be to ask Congress and the President to use the millions of dollars that would be spent on a parade to be used to end veteran homelessness in the US. Then we could have a real celebration! *Data from the National Alliance to End Homelessness
