Thank you Hon Alex Hawke MP for considering this case and having a great impact in this man's life. This shows me, that we still have some leaders in our country that are willing to stop, take a moment to reflect and decide to be compassionate when appropriate. Respect! Thanks also to all that have signed this petition. This proves also that unity and solidarity receive a reward. On a personal note, I would also like to thank God because He still is in the miracle business, answers prayers and knows how to surprise us beyond measure. So happy right now!

I'm signing because Australia needs more people like David Lee, not less. He is a 'giver', not a "taker".

It's unfair for David just because he is a blind.

David should be granted his permanent residency because he's been here 10 years and learned English and works 40hrs per week collecting for charity. He's done more for Australia in one year than most Australian's, including myself, do in a lifetime.

If he has to leave this country, this is a shame for Oz immigration policy!!

We met David a year ago and are shocked andcsaddened to see this happening to him. David is a brilliant pianist and a polite decent man who works incredibly hard to support himself in his tidy little unit on his own.

This man will be an asset to our society not a burden.
