My husband and I are in our 70’s we have a disabled daughter Lisa who is 42 years old. Lisa needs full time care - we change her nappy, dress and feed her, we do everything for her. I would like a weekend break to see my 2 other daughters but there is no respite facility for her to go to. 

We are not getting any help from social services, my social worker just keeps telling me that their is nowhere available.

A new respite centre is being built for children but why can’t they add rooms for adults? 

A lot of my friends are in the same situation as us. We are tired and stressed and just want a short break to see our grandchildren.
