In an era where compelling scientific evidence indicates greenhouse gas emissions are threatening life worldwide, it does not make any kind of sense, economic or otherwise, to ignore the long term danger in favour of short term profit. As a concerned Nova Scotian, and a concerned human being, I would like to see Nova Scotia become a leader in the fight to help reverse the damage caused by these greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging the exploration and use of more environmentally friendly sources of providing power. I have no doubt that if the creative minds coming up with reasons to stay as we are could be turned to finding ways to move forward to a more sustainable form of energy production, this would ultimately become a triumph for Nova Scotia as a whole.
