Greenwood Elementary is facing budget challenges for our teachers. As of now we will be losing a 3rd grade teacher for 2022/23, which will increase classroom sizes and decrease the instruction led time our kids receive. 

We, as parents would like to petition to keep all classroom teachers in classroom and not drop any grade-level teachers. We can get creative and potentially bring STEAM into classrooms or find alternative options within Greenwood to keep all classroom teachers. We are hoping this petition will draw enough parent support and action to require Principal Nicole DiPasquale to hear and listen to the parents to find another option. 

Due to the housing market and increase in our area we are seeing a significant decrease in enrollments as well as families that have left to go to private/charter schools. 

The longterm impact of losing a teacher will be detrimental to our kids education and community as well as increased class sizes will not attract new families or potentially lose more current families.
