The war between Russia and Ukraine has had devastating effects on millions of Ukrainians - many of them college students like us at Stonehill College, who are exploring their passions and interests through the pursuit of a degree. The ongoing crisis has left many Ukrainian educational institutions unable to provide the opportunities that had previously existed for Ukrainian students; however, we believe Stonehill College can make a difference.

As students at Stonehill College, we urge our educational institution to provide opportunities to one or more Ukrainian students to continue their education and contribute to the rebuilding of Ukraine at Stonehill College. As a Catholic Institution which identifies itself in its mission statement as “a community of scholarship and faith, anchored by a belief in the inherent dignity of each person” which strives “toward the creation of a more just and compassionate world”, partnering with Ukrainian Global University will transcend Stonehill’s words into direct action, creating a long-lasting positive impact on the student(s), our institution, and the future of Ukraine. It is with courage and conviction that we urge Stonehill College to strongly consider a partnership with Ukrainian Global University or search for alternative initiatives to mitigate the loss of academic opportunities in Ukraine.
