Every Halloween we are bombarded with the same horrifying visuals in the front and centre of shop displays. 

These decorations are getting more gruesome by the year and some look like props from a horror film. 

To watch a horror film with such scary details in this country you need to be a certain age. To walk past a scary display in a shop there is no age limit. 

Let us consider urging shops to sell their Halloween items responsibly and display them where young children can avoid looking at them. Children can avoid a scary Halloween Isle in a shop but a window display or front of shop merchandising is unavoidable. 

Young children are sensitive and can be affected by the scary things they see. When children are at young age they can't process what they are seeing as "just for fun". 

Please be considerate and allow children the option to choose to view scary props etc and not bombard them with it.
