Our beloved Yaritza Spencer, a vibrant soul who loved drawing, creating, and spreading joy with her silliness, tragically left us. She was a cherished granddaughter and an integral part of our family in Rochester. Her love for others knew no bounds – sometimes to her detriment. Like every citizen in this city, she deserved justice.

We are deeply concerned about the circumstances surrounding Yaritza's death. We understand that fentanyl-related deaths are rising across the nation - with over 36,500 overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids other than methadone (including fentanyl) reported in 2019 (source: CDC). However, we firmly believe there was foul play involved in Yaritza's case.

Therefore, we implore the Rochester Police Department to open an investigation into her untimely demise. It is crucial not only for our family but also for ensuring that justice is served within our community.

We urge you to sign this petition and join us in demanding a thorough investigation into Yaritza Spencer's death by the Rochester Police Department.
