I go to BYU, and I believe in the scriptures which teach the importance of Human life and peace (Mor. 4:11, Matt. 18:14) These are living people, real-life people, and our money—my money—is going towards their genocide.  Children are being buried beneath rubble, others watch their parents die and cover their ears when the bombs drop. Women are dying due to complications with their periods, and no one has food to eat. The doctors and hospitals have been destroyed, and it's not stopping. This has gone past war, this is genocide. We do not want to be a part of funding genocide, even indirectly through our institution. We ask the university to stop sending money and support to Israel. While we value the opportunity to study at the Jerusalem Center, some have even dreamed of it for a long time, it is not worth the lives of innocent Palestinians. They are children of God too; that's what we profess to believe. That's what we should live by.
