The students at NAU are unhappy with the process to receive accommodations through Disability Resources. The process is cumbersome, classist, and inhibits accessibility to students with "invisible" illnesses such as anxiety, depression and ADHD. This, in turn, makes students have to fight 10x harder to be accommodated on an individual basis. Greater access to accommodations for more mental illnesses and a more accessible application process will greatly benefit the lives of students at NAU.
