Respected Minister of Foreign Affairs Lapid,

You cannot be unaware of what is happening all over Ukraine: under the far-fetched pretext of “protecting the Russian-speaking population”, Putin has started a war, which he calls a “special operation”. He is destroying Ukrainian cities and villages and killing innocent children, while claiming that "only military facilities are destroyed using highly precise strikes." What was the military facility located in Babi Yar that made it necessary to desecrate the memorial for the victims of the Holocaust? Putin is at war with both the living and the dead. Meanwhile, within Russia he is brutally persecuting anyone who opposes this madness.

Many countries, such as the United States, members of the European Union, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and South Korea have imposed sanctions on Putin’s regime. Even the perpetually-neutral Switzerland announced support for such sanctions.

We admire the Israelis who have flown to Ukraine and are currently helping to defend it from the invaders. We applaud

the Israelis who are sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We are grateful to Israel for the evacuation of civilians from an embattled Ukraine. And, at the same time, we are perplexed: where are the Israeli sanctions against Putin’s regime?

We call on the government of Israel to announce its support for the Ukrainian people, to clearly condemn Putin’s invasion, and to formally join the sanctions against his regime.

Многоуважаемый Министр Иностранных Дел Израиля Лапид,

Вы не можете не знать, что сейчас происходит по всей Украине: под надуманным предлогом “защиты русскоязычного населения” Путин начал войну, именуя её “спецоперацией”. Путинские ракеты разрушают жилые кварталы украинских городов и сёл и убивают невинных детей, а он заявляет, что “особо точными ударами разрушает только военные объекты”. Какой военный объект был расположен в Бабьем Яру, чтобы было необходимо стрелять по мемориалу жертвам Холокоста? Путин воюет и с живыми, и с мёртвыми. Между тем, внутри России путинский режим жестоко преследует всех, кто выступает против этого безумия. 

Многие страны, например, США, члены ЕС, Япония, Австралия, Сингапур и Южная Корея, ввели санкции против путинского режима. Даже всегда нейтральная Швейцария поддержала санкции. 

Мы восхищаемся израильтянами, которые прилетели сейчас в Украину и помогают оборонять её от захватчиков. Мы приветствуем израильтян, которые посылают в Украину гуманитарную помощь. Мы благодарны Израилю за эвакуацию гражданского населения из воюющей Украины. И в то же время мы недоумеваем: где израильские санкции против путинского режима? 

Мы обращаемся к правительству Израиля с призывом заявить о своей поддержке украинского народа, решительно осудить путинское вторжение и ввести санкции против его режима.
