Urge Attorney General Doug Chin to protect net neutrality in Hawaii through legal action

The protection and preservation of net neutrality is key to allowing equal access to all forms of internet content by the people of Hawaii and across the nation. On December 14, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to eliminate the 2015 Open Internet Order by then President Barrack Obama along partisan lines. The FCC's decision erodes net neutrality protections and empowers large and powerful internet service providers to control internet content in order to leverage corporate profits. The repeal explicitly bars states from implementing their own laws to protect net neutrality. That is why State Attorney Generals across the nation are considering legal action that would bar the FCC from eliminating net neutrality. Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin has a history of joining other state attorney generals in standing up for states' rights. This petition urges Attorney General Chin to take legal action to protect net neutrality.
