UQ Union: Don't waste $20,000 hosting the ANUS Conference for your interstate Labor Mates

The UQ Union has revealed they are considering hosting the Australian National Union of Students (ANUS) conference in July this year. It has been said that $20,000 of money and revenue from Union Outlets and therefore student money, will be used to fund the event.
The ANUS has been ridden with controversy in recent times and has no place at our University. Not a single University in Queensland is affiliated with the group, and others interstate continue to pull support, the University of Melbourne pulling $40,000 of funding from the body this year alone.
The group consists of mainly fringe Labor students and students involved in the Socialist Alternative. The purpose of this conference is to offer "leadership building" and "student networking". While that sounds great, the ANUS does nothing of the sort.
The fringe movement that claims to represent all Australian University Students once motioned, at one of their own events, to declare Israel as “an apartheid state”, guilty of “ethnic cleansing”.
This is a fringe extremist group that masquerades under a progressive banner in order to push their own anti-semitic, anarchist and far-left agenda that most students would find repulsive.
Tell the UQ Union you won't let them fund a junket for their fringe Socialist Alternative and interstate Labor mates.
