UPS workers have risked our lives during the Covid-19 pandemic and are now facing rising costs of living that outpace wages. Meanwhile, UPS has made record, billion-dollar profits over the last two years.

After laying workers off for almost two months and bringing them back to work 10 days ago, UPS has resumed the “Layoff List” for the Metro Queens facility in New York City. They are displacing drivers, trainees, and possibly others with the claim that “there’s not enough work”. 

We, the undersigned, reject the lie that a layoff/displacement is necessary. UPS, with their massive profits, can and should divide all available work at no loss of pay and guarantee 8 consecutive hours to all workers.
