Some individuals in the community have decided, rather than personally decide what their own children do or do not read/experience, that they will have books they disagree with banned or restricted for everyone.

It does not matter the book, nor the subject matter, nor the writer, nor anyone’s beliefs involved. Knowledge, experience, freedom of speech, are all keys parts of this country. Sometimes there will be books with harsh topics, some books will frighten or worry kids and adults alike. That’s good, that is important, it is part of growth and learning. There are very real and very evil things in the world, and to force others to be ignorant to it through lack of access to information is wrong.
