Hi all, I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 3,896 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support! Will you help me to get more support by sharing this petition with ten other people? If enough of us sign we can’t be ignored! Here’s a link to share https://www.change.org/p/upper-canada-district-school-board-make-upper-canada-district-school-board-provide-education-plan-that-puts-students-first

Over the past week, I have brought this petition to the attention of Doug Ford, Stephen Lecce, my MPP Steve Clark as well as the trustees and Director of Education of UCDSB. I have given interviews regarding the situation in this school board and was called by Steve Clark to show his support that change needs to happen here. He has alerted the Minister of Education to this poorly organized plan for our students and educators.

Additonally, this petition has garnered much attention on Twitter. Beyhan Farhadi, PhD, an expert in online education and a secondary school teacher, wrote an open letter to our board outlining the issues with the board's plan and the letter has been shared numerous times on Twitter and Facebook. https://twitter.com/BBFarhadi/status/1309491393757360130

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) is also aware of our fight for better education.

Let's make it our goal to reach 5000 by tomorrow afternoon. At that time, the petition will be one week old.

Your Voice Matters!

Jessica
