Our country is currently facing a vast influx of illegal immigrants. This heavy influx is straining our national resources - housing, hospitals, institutions, and infrastructure, a burden financially fostered primarily by tax-paying citizens. The shortage of resources is unfortunately not limited to these areas alone. Our country has seen a rise in homelessness, with our own citizens living on the streets because of inadequate resources. Furthermore, our elderly population is suffering, overlooked and under-supported in an attempt to accommodate the incoming population. We can't turn a blind eye to these issues. Our national infrastructure cannot support thousands of additional people without compromising the well-being of our current citizens. This petition calls for upholding and enforcing the immigration laws, and deporting those who have come into the country illegally, not out of discrimination, but for the preservation and better use of our national resources. It's time to prioritize those our public services were created for: our nation's citizens who contribute to these systems and are in dire need of aid. Our nation, like any other, has the right to secure borders and effective immigration control for the welfare and security of its citizens.
