As we go into the spring 2022 semester it is clear that Covid cases are on the rise again. With this new spike in cases it is concerning that the University of Louisville School of Nursing is expecting in person lectures on days we do not have clinicals. The University is following CDC guidelines of returning to class after 5 days of symptom onset. Increasing the risk for other students to contract Covid-19. It seems unfair to lower the isolation period but also lower the amount of clinicals that students are allowed to miss and have in person lecture. The decrease in isolation days is increasing our chances of getting Covid. If we are to only miss one clinical it would be in our best interest to make lectures remote until cases decrease. This would in return decrease our chances of getting Covid allowing us to be at clinical.
