W W started this petition to UofE law students

We’ve produced this petition in regards to the upcoming examinations at The University of Edinburgh. Many students have expressed their concern that the time scale for each exam (3hours) will limit their abilities to showcase the skills we have learnt throughout this semester. All while taking into consideration that the majority of students sat their last timed examination over two years ago. We also believe we are at a disadvantage compared to other universities in Scotland who offer the same course. For example; Edinburgh Napier students receiving 24 hours to complete each exam, the same duration The University of Edinburgh offered in 2020.  Students at the University of Glasgow have been granted the opportunity to see the papers before their exam. Many students are already being pushed to their limits with the current situation, considering many drop outs have already occurred we call on the uni to take this into account and offer a fair alternative to examinations

We hope the university will consider its students feelings regarding the examinations and make our time at Edinburgh a bit less stressful, especially coming from covid-cancelled exam years at high school.
