With 60,000 students at UNSW this is an extra $6,258,000 from students amenities fees ALONE! (give or take for part time students). Where is this money going? In 2020, it was supposedly all towards careers expos and job boards, but people were losing jobs not gaining them. Further, supposedly our Term 2 and 3 fees were going to a Term 1 careers expo!

I am annoyed about the absurd amount we are charged. Uni students are not millionaires and $100+ per term is a lot of money. I was one of the people who lost their job because of the pandemic, so racking up an extra $102 per term was actually a struggle for me. 

In signing the petition you are signing on to support two things:

1. Decrease of the fees going forward: There are still students who are mostly or entirely online and $6,000,000 cannot all be going to services and amenities.
2. Reimbursement of the 2020 fees (at least term 1 and 2): Students were not on campus at all and still required to pay full price term fees. The SSAF document for this year says that fees are delegated to the same places... This cannot be correct.
