Today, at Riverheads High School, we have witnessed another horrendous act of ignorance and stupidity. A sophomore class game of dodgeball turned sour when Peyton S. got “overly heated” and began to call fellow students names. He started with Ella R., calling her the f slur, a “f*cking stupid b*tch”, a “stupid c*nt” and threatened to fight her family, all because she got him out. She admittedly snapped back with a few minor insults, but nothing compared to saying slurs. Peyton then proceeded to call two other students the n word and to degrade them. This is not his first offense in slur saying during gym, either. Both Peyton and Ella were suspended for two days. There is no reason for Ella to be suspended, whatsoever. We, the student body, are tired of the blind eye that runs this school. It’s time for change.
