On Thursday, March 4th 2021, the results of the University of Nevada, Reno's 2021 ASUN Vice President Primary Election were announced and it was revealed that two (2) of the three (3) candidates were disqualified. Candidates Keegan Murphy and Aaron Piña were disqualified due to the failure to turn in financial forms. All candidates were required to turn in both a digital and a physical copy of the forms by 5pm on Thursday, March 4th.

While we are still in the middle of a pandemic and majority of students aren't on campus, turning in a physical form isn't accessible. 78% of student votes were disqualified over one form. Student voices deserve to be heard and this is an unprecedented ploy to silence students.

We the undersigned demand a full investigation be carried out and we demand swift action be taken.
