Unmortgageable properties due to Ground Rent lease agreements

Unmortgageable properties due to Ground Rent lease agreements
Why this petition matters
Unable to sell my flat due to current lease agreement with freeholder, where ground rent is reviewed every 5 years. Mortgage companies will not lend on these current terms and conditions, due to ground rent review dates being under 10 years and raising costs charged for ground rent. This is preventing myself and other flat owners, not only in my block of flats but many lease holders with the same lease agreements across the country.
New legislation in place from June 2022 has abolished these ground rent terms and conditions but this does not cover my lease agreement, my neighbours and other freeholders with lease agreements before June 2022.
Please help me to raise awareness and ask the Government to now abolish this rule for existing leaseholder before June 2022 to come in line with the the new legislation laws which were agreed in June 2022:
Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022: Guidance for leaseholders, landlords and managing agents - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk
If my lease agreement is not changed I will be unable to sell my flat and move to a new home to start my new life with my Finance, and potentially not be able to start a family we are planning for our future. Please help, everyone has the right to choose where they want to live and at the moment that choice is being taken away from me because of a lease agreement which is unfair.
