Skateboards should be allowed in the halls of John B Connally High School

My name is Sekoya Barbee and i’m a senior at Connally High School. Now this particular incident has happened during multiple occasions over the period of time I’ve been in this school. I walk around with my skateboard in the halls, and I will be honest, sometimes skate outside during lunch. I feel though that even if I can’t skate on school property and that it is a rule written in black and white, I should at least be allowed to walk and roam the halls of my high school with it in my backpack. The principal has stopped me multiple times now and it’s becoming an issue that I’m not allowed to walk around with it.
she has not only harassed me over the issue but forcefully made me drop it off in her office.
Her administration, or fellow co worker, has also lied about not taking up the board one occasion when she said she just wanted to “walk and talk”. She had baited me into the office and there was little to no conversation nor reasoning as in to why they confiscated my board. I was also told by another teacher that she wasn’t going to take it up on my way to talk to the principal. When I tried asking she said that it was like a weapon, like a baseball bat. Then I said back to her “so you’re saying my board classifies as a weapon?” And she says “that’s not what I said” and then she goes “someone or others could get hurt”. Afterwards I agreed to not skate on school property anymore but that doesn’t mean I can’t walk with it to class. She then says “I’m the principal and as your principal you’re going to leave it here everyday”. Now of course I got upset with her because they lied about them not taking the board.
She then threatens to call my parents to pick me up and says I’m being “disrespectful” when all I asked was why and that I don’t have to. I ended up having to leave my board there till the end of the day. I come back the next week, she tries to pull me over again which resulted in us getting into another argument and she tried to take my board & threatened to call my parents over it.I did my research and as a student I’m allowed to bring it because there’s no rule stating I can’t. We end up arguing to the point where she makes me almost late to class. Two other students came and got in our conversation asking her the same question I’ve asked which is why she’s confiscating it. I told them that she had said it was because it’s classified as a weapon which she responded by saying that she had never said that and lied to not only me but the other students about our past conversation. She said to stop because she didn’t want to cause a scene, now knowing me I could care less if it was or not because everyone sees me with it and does nothing about it and it only bothers her & her co workers, otherwise nobody complains to me about it. all I’m trying to say is that she is not being reasonable, has lied to me & other students, and It’s not a rule that I can’t walk around school with my board, her only reasoning so far is that she doesn’t like it.
if anyone agrees that myself and others should be allowed to walk to class with their boards and not be attacked for it please sign, thank you.
