Dress codes are important to a certain extent. The newest fad in fashion are torn jeans and pants. How does a rip in your pants distract or cause a safety issue? Shorts and skirts are allowed, but God forbid, a student comes to class with a rip in the pants below the knee? Pinellas county Middle Schools have a strict, no rip at all dress code. As a mother of 3 teenagers, it is very difficult to find clothes that are acceptable to meet the dress code standards, yet are fashionable. The dress code that the middle schools have in Pinellas county are outrages and excessive to the point that these kids cannot express themselves. We would like Pinellas County Middle Schools to enforce the Pinellas County dress code and not their own dress code. How is that rip going to affect you?
