Due to the extremes rate of infection of the delta variant and the lack of mandates on campus, we ask for Georgia State University to go online. As GSU is mostly a commuter school where students live with their families, we see a inherent risk students and their families face. The University System of Georgia and GSU do not require masks or vaccines. With the lack of protective mandates and the ineptitude of Georgia State University’s contact tracing program, Covid-19 is quickly spreading across the campus and the greater Atlanta community. We strongly petition for Georgia State University to close their campus to protect their students well-being.
