GARRY HOLLAND started this petition to University of Zimbabwe stakeholders and

The University of Zimbabwe intends to re-open face-to-face, for End of semester examinations period beginning 23 February to 24 March 2021. This move doesn't seem any good with the rapidly increasing COVID-19 statics in Zimbabwe, with deaths now over 1200 and total cases over 33000 at date of petition creation.

As much as we hope this whole situation come to an end, it's pretty evident we might be stuck with it for quite some time. As the University students, we also wish we could sit for our exams the proper way but that isn't safe at all at this moment. Unless the University promises tests on arrival and agreed intervals (preferably daily since most students will use public transport to and from campus), We can't risk lives for the sake of writing exams on campus.

Please sign this petition to persuade UZ Vice Chancellor and responsible authorities to either:

1. Let us write our exams online

2. Make use of cousework marks instead
