Overwhelming opposition to cruel baby monkey experiments at #UWMadison
Oct 14, 2014 — Hello.
More news for those of you following this campaign. First and foremost, there is no confirmation that these experiments have started yet. So thank you!
At a formal and public university sponsored discussion last week at University of Wisconsin in Madison, Johns Hopkins University bioethicist Jeffrey Kahn stated his ethical opposition to these psychiatric experiments on baby monkeys.
The room was packed with many opponents of the cruel animal tests, and despite the director of UW-Madison's Research Animal Resources Center, Eric Sandgren trying to defend the experiments, I am told most attendees left opposing the useless and unethical experiments.
There was also a protest prior to that event in which dozens of people held signs reading "Stop killing baby monkeys" among other slogans.
Media coverage of the events can be found here once again recognizing the power of our collective action on this Change.org petition:
You can watch the video of the full discussion here.
And here are some photos from the demonstration.
Thank you for your continued patience and politeness as we continue to pressure the University to cancel these experiments!
Please look for another email in coming days with some important phone calls to make and share this update and the petition.
