Joe Agan started this petition to University of Toledo

Set into action at the beginning of the Spring semester at the University of Toledo, those in charge of UT Dining Services placed even more restrictions on meal plans at the University, namely the unlimited meal plans. These restrictions include a limit of 3 guests per semester (restricting students from "swiping in" other students, family that have come to visit, or friends/community members who've been invited to the school as prospective future students), and a mandatory 15 minute wait between meal swipes (adding even more difficulty to busy students to prevent them from obtaining food or snacks to take with them for when they don't have time for a sit-down meal).

With all the stress that college brings, the last thing on a busy students' mind should be finding their next meal. These restrictions make it especially tough for full-time students living a busy life to properly and efficiently nourish themselves to achieve their full academic potential.

Students pay just under $2,000 a semester (nearly $4,000 an academic year) to have a reliable source of meals throughout their day. These meal plans are specified as "unlimited" meaning "without limit or restriction in terms of number, quantity, or extent". Adding these restrictions is theft from the students, as we the students pay for this right. Meal plans get more expensive and more regulated each semester. Does the University of Toledo care more about the well-being of the students that make up this community of diverse scholars, or about the fullness of their own wallets?

With your support and signatures, change can come to fruition. We the students can have our voices heard and respected. Thank you.
