The Big Ticket (which ranked number 13 last year in most expensive college student tickets according to https://scout.com/college/football/Article/25-most-expensive-college-football-student-section-ticket-prices-103099957) recently implemented a new wristband policy. This policy requires students to walk to Gate 25 and wait in long lines prior to entry to obtain a wristband necessary for the student section. The University's suggestion to avoid this clutter is to go earlier in the day, wasting time trekking to and from the stadium, and still having to deal with less than favorable lines. In theory, many students agree with the idea of increased security for the student section, however attendance has plummeted and many students just walk over from a section that doesn't require wristbands anyway. So, seeing as this plan's implementation has failed and caused great upheaval, I believe it it time for a change.

Having easily accessible, on-campus locations to pick up wristbands for that week's game could help alleviate these problems. Volunteer organizations, or team managers could head kiosks by the Main Mall or in front of the Tower, so that students can easily pick up their wristbands on their way to class. This would be a minimal cost to the University and would have significant impacts on game attendance and game day morale. I hope you feel the same way and decide join the petition to alert the school of this issue.

Thank you, and Hook 'em Horns
