All restaurants on Guadalupe Street should accept Bevo Bucks

When a student comes to UT for the first time, they are given their student ID. This gives them access to the bus system, their residence hall, and most importantly, their meal plan (if they live on campus). This meal plan consists of 2 types of funding: Dine-In Dollars and Bevo Bucks. Dine-In Dollars are used for the cafeterias of specific residence halls such as Jester City Limits, J2, and Kinsolving Dining, while Bevo Bucks are designed to be applicable to other restaurants on or around campus.
These options include Taco Cabana, Zen, Chick-Fil-A, and Starbucks on campus, in addition to Potbelly and Einstein's Bros. Bagels off campus. However, freshmen may venture to restaurants on Guadalupe street expecting to be able to use their Bevo Bucks at Thai How Are You, Teji's, Qdoba, or Coco's Cafe, among many more, and find that they must pay with cash or card. Since these restaurants are so popular among students at UT (and receive almost all of their business from this demographic), they should be required to accept one of the most common forms of payment used by UT students. This will allow for easier transactions for both student and vendor, and a chance for the University to make stronger connections with the owners of stores that border our campus.
Your signature will help put action towards the goal of allowing Bevo Bucks at any restaurant on Guadalupe Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 29th Street.
