The quality of online lectures is not equivalent to face-to-face lectures. International students should not have to pay full tuition fees for online classes without thoroughly experiencing university life. They have missed various opportunities in using the gym, library, labs, teaching buildings, etc. In addition, many of them are left with no choice but to pay high accommodation fees as they cannot go back home. As a leading institute that always prioritises students' rights, University of Strathclyde has an obligation to partially refund tuition fees to its international students. The Scottish Government should also require University of Strathclyde to partially refund tuition fees while online teaching is implemented.
