The Green & Blue Space is essentially the environmental HQ of the university’s campus: a space set up within the Atrium to host all of the Students’ Union environmental activities, including ‘food, waste, and everything in between.’ From lobbying the University to divest its fossil fuels, to securing external funding for improving campus cycling infrastructure, reducing campus electricity and water consumption, to running DIY cosmetics and spoon carving workshops: the Green & Blue Space strives for change, working hard to promote sustainability on campus and protect our local environment, and also provides volunteer opportunities for students to get involved with environmental projects.

Amazon lockers are self-service kiosks where parcels can be delivered instead of to your home or business. These lockers, provided by a company that emitted 44.4 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2018 alone - roughly equal to the annual emissions of Norway - and that generated more than 465 million pounds of plastic pollution in 2019, are being prioritised over giving our environmental hub more space.
