Suspend In-Person Instruction at U of S

There is currently 1 presumed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) reported in Saskatchewan as of March 12th. The University of Saskatchewan has a large student population ranging from domestic to international students who are for the most part concerned about this highly infectious disease!

I understand that Saskatchewan is not necessarily the most traveled destination, but places like the University has over 20 000 students enrolled and it is up to the University to suspend all in-class sessions and transition to web-delivered content!

The W.H.O has officially declared this virus as a Pandemic and the last time I checked we have not had one of those since 2009 during the H1N1 Virus and W.H.O estimated the total death toll to be upwards of over 500 000 people!

I encourage you to sign this petition to ensure the safety of the students, faculty, and all those that work at the university! We do not need to have UBC or U of T to be first in shuttering the university in order for us to adjust! We need to transition now to stop this from getting any worse than it already is!

Keep yourself educated about all events unfolding about this virus! Visit the Government of Canada website to ensure you take the necessary steps in protecting yourself!
