Lydia paterson started this petition to University of Roehampton

The University of Roehampton is home to a £35million library, which is full of information and knowledge. In light of tragic and familiar events I believe it is in the best interests of the university, it’s staff, students and alumni for a Black lives matter information resource collection, collated from the appropriate texts and information available in the library, many of which are accessible remotely. It is not enough that this information is AVAILABLE, we need to make it as accessible and easy as possible for our staff and students and alumni to educate themselves regarding Black history and the Black lives matter movement to really celebrate and understand the diversity Roehampton boasts of. While there are other sources, it is important for the University of Roehampton to utilise its platform and extensive range of information for the better. If this is possible to celebrate PRIDE month (Well done RSU) then it is more than possible for the black lives matter movement. Knowledge is power, may Roehampton help us to be on our way to a better world.
