Isabella Mailer started this petition to University of Pittsburgh

The University of Pittsburgh has recently started using MyResNet as a means of spreading wireless internet throughout campus. The speeds of this internet are slower than years prior with an option to upgrade at the expense of $69 per year, an enormous fee per student given that it was free. Wireless connection is not nearly accessible to off-campus students and commuters, and they have removed the privilege of having your own router in your dormitory room.

As a state affiliated school, the University of Pittsburgh should not continually squeeze money out of their students for their own profitable gain.

The signers of this petition request that wireless internet across campus be free, more accessible, and fast in order to complete the necessary tasks of their discipline.
