Julianna Cooper started this petition to University of Pittsburgh

For the Spring 2020 semester, the University of Pittsburgh allowed students the option to take their classes pass/fail due to the pandemic forcing classes to go online. Online classes present hardships for students who may not have access to proper equipment, a good learning environment, who struggle with learning disabilities, and who lack consistent internet connection. The pandemic has caused students to loose family members, sources of income, and has affected the mental well being of thousands of students across America. While students did know from the start of this semester that a significant amount of learning would be conducted online, that has not in any way completely diminished the challenges associated with online learning. I am asking the University of Pittsburgh to allow students to choose to take classes pass fail after they have gotten their final class grades back, like last semester. Students pay Pitt thousands of dollars a year to attend, the least Pitt could do is allow them the option to do their classes pass/fail during this trying time.
