Amir Attaran has recently spread very hate filled tweets recently regarding the horrible status of Alberta with COVID-19. A man with a job position like his, should understand that this is not the time to point fingers. People are dying everyday, families are being torn apart. As a country, we need to come together, not create more divisiveness. He's making a mockery of this devastation, when we have zero control over what our government does, we can't all protest, due to the exact reason we are struggling. 

A man like this should not be in a position to influence the amount of people he can, we do not need more hatred getting taught in schools. Every person should have their own opinion, and Amir can definitely believe what he does. But as a Professor, he should know that in these trying times, stereotyping a whole province and making light of the death and sickness is not appropriate. I hope you never have to lose a family member or friend to COVID sir. But you need to find another job if this is how you are gonna state your opinions.
