Mass Transportation Challenge
ASULV and the Transportation Department are creating awareness about alternative modes of transportation everyone can use to commute to campus. Transportation is responsible for 30% of greenhouse gas pollution in the US and around 70% of faculty, staff and students on campus commute to campus on a daily basis. We want to reduce our campus' carbon footprint and alleviate stress on our environment caused by the greenhouse gas emission from vehicles.
We are encouraging ULV faculty, staff and students to use alternative modes of transportation to get to campus on Thursday, April 23rd! In honor of those who choose to use alternative modes of transportation The Green Truck (a food truck with locally grown, organic, vegan meals) will be in Sneaky Park from 11am-1pm for those who have taken the pledge!
Alternative options include: Biking, Walking, Carpooling, Public Transportation (bus, train), etc.
We ask you join us in reducing the University's carbon footprint and raise awareness regarding transportation's detrimental impact on our community!
