This press should be saved because it is one of the premier presses for military history, constitutional studies, presidential studies, western history, environmental studies (and more).

The University Press of Kansas is a leading publisher in my fields of study. Their works exhibit the highest of academic standards, yet the press also knows how to successfully navigate the trade book environment such that their superb scholarship is made readily available to the wider reading public outside of academia. Very simply, this press must be saved!
